Ireland Sports Day is an independent, all-island celebration of community sport. It gives people one place to find local Moments and gives organisers a clear way to share what they are running.

The 2026 season runs from Tuesday, 1 September to Saturday, 31 October. Moments may be saved for any date; only Moments inside the season are listed or counted for this edition.

Adults, clubs, teams, schools, governing bodies, community groups, venues, organisers, companies, and other organisations can take part. Anyone can browse public Moments and choose a suitable local Moment.

Yes, through adult-managed clubs, schools, or community organisations. Under-18s do not create accounts and the platform does not collect or publish their individual names, contact details, or participation records.

Using Ireland Sports Day and registering for the 2026 edition is free. An organiser may have separate equipment, booking, or venue requirements and should state those clearly in the Moment details.

Choose your type on the registration page. A club can claim an existing listing or register its organisation, provide the required details, and prepare a Moment for review and publication.

Green and Gold are friendly teams assigned for the 2026 edition. They add a shared national thread to the day; they are not betting, a prize contest, or a ranking of people or organisations.

Public participation appears only in privacy-safe bands rather than exact counts. Private rosters and contact details are not published, and small or youth-related groups remain hidden unless the public release safeguards are met.
