About

About Ireland Sports Day

One shared day to make community sport easier to find, join, and celebrate across the island of Ireland.

A day built around local sport

Ireland Sports Day brings clubs, community groups, schools, venues, organisers, and participants together for a national celebration throughout the 2026 season, from 1 September to 31 October. The platform helps people discover what is happening nearby and helps organisers share clear public information.

One day, many ways to take part

People can browse the map and Moment listings, choose a Moment that suits them, and check the organiser's practical details before taking part. Organisations can register, prepare their Moment, and publish it once it meets the public release rules.

Who runs Ireland Sports Day

Ireland Sports Day is run as an independent volunteer initiative. It is not operated by a public authority or a Sports Governing Body, and a public listing does not imply endorsement.

Privacy and participation

Public participation is shown only in privacy-safe bands, never as exact counts or private rosters. People under 18 take part through adult-managed clubs, schools, or community organisations; the platform does not create individual accounts for minors.
